Permanently hide background?

Firstly, I'm using ITG2 theme and a hide background mod already exists in the config files. My problem is that this setting will not persist between sessions, and I have to select it every time I run SM. Is there any way to get around that and make the setting permanent?

Are you using a profile? It should persist if you are using one.

I'm running 3.9 with the ITG2 theme from stemaniathings.com, which I've been using for years. This is the first time I've ever encountered an issue with settings not persisting between sessions.

And yes, I'm using a profile.

Have you tried hiding the background via stepmania.ini?

Try using 3.9+. It saves your settings if you use a profile.

Open the metrics.ini inside the theme folder and scroll down to [screenoptionsmaster]

set this:
HideDefualt=mod,cover
