I'm having a bit of a "lagging" problem

I have stepmania 3.9, to start, so people don't gimme that question.

So I decided to get Stepmania on my vista laptop, and I played, and whoop de freakin doo, the sound is off sync from the video (what ever, graphics, steps).
Is there anyway i can calibrate the lag, like in guitar hero or something?

It'll be pretty irritating adjusting the Global Offset in 3.9. 4.0 has an Auto Sync Machine feature that lets you sync your global offset while playing your game. But in 3.9 you'll need to go to Data/StepMania.ini, look for GlobalOffset= and manually change it.

Downgrade to XP vista has so many problems. R u really happy using it? i got an e machine in november of 06 and it came with a free rebate to get vista when it came out. i didnt even get it. have u seen the vid of it crashing at the grand reveal press conference for it ? chances are theres something stupid in vista and its messing up your syncers in the game
