Congratulations, you're the 9000th person to say that since the first screenshots were put out, give it a darn rest. Everyone knows that it looks familiar to ITG3's theme, and we [should] all know why.

Do the stars have any purpose?

The idea of the stars is that you can rate songs, then use a "sort by rating" to find your favorites in a large library of songs.
