i wanna know how to customize the percent tiers, the judge grade and so on to makes stepmania grade system looks like PIU

As far as 3.9 goes, and im sure most of 4.0, the percentages are all stored in the stepmania.ini
you can set the number of tiers, but of course, the images in the graphics folder of the theme have to match.
The problem is, there is no way to (in 3.9 anyway) set the miss disqualifying S grade behaviour.. plus, the general percentages of DP and such that PIU uses are unknown (its belived to be score based, what letter grade you get) so setting up accurate simulation is difficult, to say the least.
Oh, hello there.
yeah... i know "how" to do...
i just want to know what values to put to looks like piu ><

the problem is that no one actually knows this.
I never thought it to be score based but rather "miss" based but as I can get A with 70 misses on crazy song and B with 16 misses on some easy song then well I have no idea but still the score seems to be step based (more arrows higher score)
well, if anyone knows more about this that would be nice.
ofcourse as already stated S grade is - no misses and I wonder how this would be done even in SM4.
all the judges below perfect seem to carry heavy values.
if you didnt know (in which case, you need to not play pump lol) the game has always used a set scoring per step. so its basicly the same as a DP value... so if we look at that, we can assume the game has some percentage value it looks for. Andamiro has even told us this way back in a very passive way.
Oh, hello there.
I will try to find out more about PIU metrics. I will check the ones I have at home and I will try to ask the people working on "SM NX". I guess that the grading is also the change of the executable file^_~. anyway there is more about PIU on SM on these boards.
thanks for info anyway.
thanks too
about "give an S with no misses"... this is easy to change in source code ^^

Yes, yes it is. But alot of ppl can't compile SM from source... shake and I tried, and it went to hell on us fast. haha.Originally Posted by Tio

3.9 = pain to compile.
4.0 = piece of cake.
3.9 uses a bunch of old stuff and VC2003 is really hard to come by.
Both compile better in VC2003, sadly.
Mac builds for 3.9 are more or less a pain, at least for me, something about some missing files.
Linux builds of 3.9 are also a pain, because of some stupid dependency issues.
But building 4 is easy... for now.
< shakesoda> I have altered the subject
< shakesoda> pray I do not alter it further
3.9(5) is a pain to compile if you want to do it in VS2003/2005
in VC6.0 it's very easy
and i haven't success to compile 3.95 in XCode yet ><
