SM crashed when I tried Expert less than a second into the chart.

EDIT: It worked the second time :P

I don't like the Expert chart at all. Anyone can make a 1:30 eighth note run and call it a 15-foot chart. 2/5 for the 15 for that particular difficulty.

EDIT2: Heavy is better, but the steps don't do anything creative. =P 3.5/5 or 4/5.
    XxDemonxX's sig offends me.

98% of the Internet population has a Myspace. If you're part of the 2% that doesn't have one, copy and paste this into your sig.......NOW!

@The Pondermatic: Would you like to file this as a bug report?

    [noob]

I'm still a long way away from being able to pass that 15-footer even on keyboard, but upon a cursory examination (in the jukebox :-\ ) I have the following comments: There seem to be way too many jumps; more 16th(?) notes could have been used instead in some places. This chart would be interesting on alternative controllers like guitar or Pop'n...

Just a few random comments from an aspiring newbie...

The problem is that the world is run by neurotypical businessmen who just want to see results now.

I have been trying FOREVER to get permission from him to use song by him, the song SEVEN to be exact, and on your screenshot it looked like u seemed to get a hold of him pretty easily. I know the deadline is coming up soon and if there is any way you could give me a way to contact him A.S.A.P. that would be great. I have already tried him on his forums and he dosent respond. If you can find any easier way that would be great.

It's a very good simfile and a great challenge for keyboard players. Unfortunately people complain about massive physical CHALLENGES in this game.
I do though think that the bg's are lame like the one on SMX2 ("Will you survive?" The legend continues!")
And it is generally not really smart to make an entry to a song that made the finals in one of the previous mixes.

I think with the chart rating all the difficulties should be dropped by 1, Expert even by 2. If you really want to know what 14's and 15's are like, get some KBMP's.
Aside from that, it isn't as difficult as you made out. The contest in this is not the most difficult simfile, it's the best, highest quality one.

    3/5

This simfile was created using ITG2 metrics. It contains all difficulties on single and double pad. The song is about 1:45 long and the banner is in 418x164 (ITG) dimension. Steps made by me with the ITG step artist label as my real name, Joe DeGarmo. An old boss song from Stepmix 1 is back with a vengeance. This time, it's not just any ordinary boss song; it breaks new ground in difficulty level for StepMix. The hard (singles) steps features some bouts of stream mixed with a lot of jumps and gallops. There is a streamy section halfway through the song to be aware of. It's a pretty solid 11; anyone who can pass Pandemonium's hard steps should have no trouble with this one. The expert (singles) stepchart breaks the StepMix record by becoming the most difficult stepchart ever produced. It features streams, crossovers, jumps, and mines from hell. In fact, there are NO BREAKS in the steps throughout the entire song, not even during the usually calm slowdown section! (Rolls have been implemented during the ambient silence preceding the slowdown part to add insult to injury. Sorry.) Technically it is possible to clear on pad, but ultra-difficult to pull off. Graphics created by me using Xara 3D version 6 for the text. Background image provided by http://www.coolwallpapers.org/view.php?wallz=6728 . Song produced by DM Ashura. The .sm file contains a random movie script compatible with ITG PC and r21. The difficulties are 1/5/9/11/15 (singles) and 6/8/10/13 (doubles). Please enjoy this simfile and have fun! Can you survive?

    .
Ashura is more of a community accepting PRODUCER (he isn't a DJ, technically speaking), much like Sanxion7 and Kyle Ward. They don't have record labels stopping them from talking to people from these kind of communities (but I'm pretty sure they don't want obsessed fans pestering them).
And please don't try to compare Linkin Park to DM Ashura, there isn't a comparison. (no offence ashura, just not that big yet)
It isn't much of an accomplishment becuase it's probably publicly available on the internet somewhere. You don't need to start a flame war about it..
