Do NOT reply to commercial or malicious spam threads, either just hit the "Report Post" button or wait for an admin to clean it up.

Posting in the threads keeps them bumped to the top, and unless the spam post wasn't cleaned up before (not likely), it's not a good thing to do.

We will be beginning to clean up the forums, starting with the chit-chat area, and deleting or closing old threads that are no longer active. You may notice a drop in post count, but seeing as this forum is supposed to be mainly used for StepMania support and community announcements, most of you should be perfectly fine with this.

This cleanup will be happening at least once a month and is part of a bigger effort of cleaning up the SM site as a whole.

There might be changes in the forums down the road as we evaluate the current areas and see what changes may or may not need to be made.

Please feel free to post up any concerns, questions or comments regarding this.

I have offered to head up forum cleaning if you are looking for someone to contact directly about this.

Generally, you only have to report ONE of the posts. Moderators and Admins have a function that allows us to remove ALL of the account's posts and threads if need be.

Spamming reports doesn't help as much as you'd think, unless you're genuinely reporting multiple people.
